Ms. Donna Whitaker Clouse, 85, passed away Monday morning, May 29, 2023, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
Donna was the daughter of the late Harry Dean and Katherine Whitaker. She was born on January 26, 1938, in Madison County, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Madison-Model High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. Donna had worked as a Medical Assistant at the former Clouse Clinic and for Dr. William Mitchell. In addition she worked at The Pattie A. Clay Hospital. She also worked for the City of Richmond where she retired from the Finance Department. Donna was a member of The First United Methodist Church. She was involved in Bible Study and served as a volunteer for many church activities.
Survivors include her son: Thomas Clouse IV (Carla); her daughter: Kim Clouse; one sister: Joyce Davis (Curtis); four grandchildren: Kayley McIntosh (Chris), Lane Grampp (Courtney), Bethany Hurt (Tyler) and Bradley Clouse (Chelsea); five great-grandchildren: Parker and Paisley McIntosh, Gunnar Grampp and Riley and Jackson Hurt; a sister-in-law: JoAnn Whitaker as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was recently preceded in death by her brother: H. D. Whitaker Jr.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday at The First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Nettleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday at the church.
Pallbearers are Hardy Whitaker, Bradley Clouse, Lane Grampp, Chad Davis, Kenny Jones, Tyler Hurt and Brady Baker.
Honorary Pallbearers are Christopher McIntosh, Wayne Anderkin and John Baker.
In lieu of flowers of flowers, donations may be made to The First United Methodist Church or to Hospice Care Plus.
