James Michael Ross

James Michael Ross, age 59, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Baptist Health – Lexington.

James, son of the late Chesley and Blanche Pittman Ross, was born in Estill County on March 19, 1966. He found enjoyment in fishing and took pride in working on his 2002 Dodge Dakota. Most of all, he dearly loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them.

Survivors include his wife: Regina Ballinger, his son: Johnathon Rader of Columbia, Missouri, two daughters: Destiny Ross of Berea and Ashley Hamilton (& Diandre Hightower) of Richmond, his brother: Charles Thomas Ross, five sisters: Margaret Ann (& Darrell) Humphreys, Donna Gail Ross (& Phillip Puckett,) Mary Jo (& Robert) Means, Patsy Janet Kocyba (& Jeff Plowman) and Sharon Diane Townsend, eight grandchildren, his mother-in-law: Donna Noland and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Lee Ross.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home with Bro. David Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Boonesboro Cemetery in Clark County.

Pallbearers will be Johnathon Rader, Cole Kocyba, Bill Withers, Trevon Townsend, Joshua Means, Eddie Ashcraft, Charles Thomas Ross and Payton Creech. www.cpcfh.com
