Dale Carson Thomas

Dale Carson Thomas, age 61, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Baptist Health – Richmond.

Dale, the son of George Thomas and Wilma Simpson Smith, was born in Madison County on September 10, 1964. He was the co-owner of TNT Painting and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed golfing, reading, fishing and spending time outdoors. For many years, Dale faithfully oversaw the Madison County Youth Sports League, investing in the lives of countless young people. He was also a proud US Army veteran. Above all, he cherished time spent with his many grandchildren.

On July 12, 1986, Dale united in marriage to Connie Rupard Thomas who survives.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is also survived by three sons: Curtis (& Crystal) Cheeks and Michael Cheeks all of Berea, Dale A. (& Amy) Thomas of Bay Minette, Alabama, one daughter: Tamara Thomas of Richmond, two brothers: Audie (& Becky) Thomas and Damon (& Tina) Thomas, two sisters: Tammy ( Alan) Hayes and Joanna (& Tim) Ray, nine grandchildren: Tyler Cheeks, Beionka Cheeks, Katelyn Cheeks, Tommy Cheeks, Michaelee Cheeks, Abby Blankenship, Raylee Thomas, Casyn Thomas and Houston Thomas, one great granddaughter: Lainey Begley with two great grandsons on-the-way, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Dale was preceded in death by his brother, George Thomas.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12 Noon Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 12 Noon Wednesday at the funeral home with Military Honors being observed. Bro. David Evans will officiate.
