Donna Rhodes Cooper, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, in her hometown. Born on October 19, 1949, Donna was the cherished daughter of Clarence and Winona Rhodes. She was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she was known for her tenderness and love of God. A proud graduate of the University of Louisville, she devoted her career to nurturing young minds as a kindergarten teacher.Donna embraced life fully. Her passion for U of L sports was matched only by her love for travel, especially her visits to the sun-soaked shores of Maui and Longboat Key.

Her greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Dan, her caring daughters Taffie Duckworth (Jason), Sarah Paulin (Wes) and Lisa Williams (Tom), grandchildren whom she cherished – Cooper & Max Duckworth, Nate & Alex Paulin, and Tori & Zac Williams, her loving sister Pamela Rhodes Kayrouz (Phil), and her best friend sister-in law Karen Brown (Tim).

The day came that I prayed never would.
Donna the kindest, gentlest person I have ever met lost her battle.
From the moment she shared her cancer had returned she told me "It's in God's hands now"
Now she is in God's hands.
I was so lucky to get to call her my dear friend.
I will love and miss her always.

To the Cooper family
My heart is broke for you
We spent many hours over the years talking about each and everyone of you, she loved you with ever once of her being and was so proud you all.
I am so thankful to have been able to be a part of your lives.
With all my love, Lisa
