Donna May (Morris) Cranmer, age 91, of Belding, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, under hospice care at Green Acres Assisted Living Center in Lowell. She was born on November 8, 1934, daughter of John A. and June E. (Tyler) Morris, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Ionia High School where she was proud of serving as Drum Majorette for the marching band. She married Wayne Cranmer in 1954 and has shared over 70 years of marriage with him. She worked for more than forty years in the office at the Ionia County Road Commission. Donna was a good dancer and enjoyed going out for an evening of music and dancing with Wayne.
Donna leaves to her husband Wayne to mourn her passing; and a daughter-in- law Christine Cranmer; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Wayner Cranmer, Jr., and a grandson, Christopher Cranmer.
Private interment rites will take place at River Ridge Cemetery. Memorial donations honoring Donna’s life are recommended to the charity of the donor’s choice. For additional information, contact Verdun Family Funeral Home in Belding by calling (616) 794-1300.
