Donna M. Crispell, age 52, passed away on the 4th of August, 2025, in the serenity of her Alamosa, Colorado home, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on December 5, 1972, in Bronx, New York, she was the cherished daughter of Steven E. Hill and the late Barbara Marie Gray Hill. Donna's nurturing spirit and effervescent presence were gifts to all who knew her.
Donna carried the heart of New York with her, even as she planted roots in Colorado, where she found joy in the grandeur of the mountains and the warmth of the community. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, most palpably felt by her beloved husband, Joseph Elder, and her adored son, Cody Fox, along with his wife Maddie Crispell. Her world was brightened by the arrival of her grandson, Xander Fox Crispell, with whom she shared an indelible bond.
Donna's father, Steven Hill, Sr., will cherish the memory of his daughter, who mirrored the kindness that he and his wife instilled in their children. She is also survived by her siblings, Steven Hill, Jr., and Lori Hill-Harding, both of New York, whose lives have been profoundly shaped by her unwavering support and affection.
A bookwyrm at her core, Donna felt most at home within the pages of a good story, where she found solace and adventure. Her generosity of spirit extended into the virtual world, where as an avid gamer, she forged friendships and created unforgettable memories alongside her husband, Joseph.
Donna will be remembered as the embodiment of kindness, generosity, and love. Her sweet nature was a constant source of comfort, and her propensity to uplift others was her hallmark. To know Donna was to experience the depth of her caring soul, and to be in her company was to feel genuinely seen and appreciated.
Cremation was chosen and private family services will be held.
