Donna Jean Dally, age 83, of Sardis, OH passed to Heaven on Monday March 16, 2026, at her home.
She was born May 31, 1942, in New Matamoras, OH, the daughter of the late William Lester Price and Ruby Shelda Dye Price.
Donna was a retired teacher and homemaker. She was proud of her Monroe County heritage and founded the Dally Memorial Library in Sardis and sat as the president of the library board. She was a member of the Mount Olive Church of Sardis. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling (especially to the ocean), spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren, at the Ohio River and investing in her community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, David L. Dally; a brother, William "Bill" Price; and a stepson, Stacy Day.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 22 years, Harry Day; two daughters, Dianna (Rodney) Rufener of Sardis, and Dana (Robert) Wilson of Lexington, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Sophia, Samuel, and Ruby Kate Rufener, Carter and Emma Wilson, and Lindsey Blackstone; a brother, David Price; stepdaughter, Chris (Robin) Carpenter of Woodsfield, OH; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family will receive friends on Thursday March 19, 2026, at Grisell Funeral Home, 37234 Mound Street, Sardis, OH from 5 to 8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Friday March 20 at 12 p.m. with Pastor James Ng officiating.
Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery.
