Donna Eloise Campbell Dalrymple, 66, of Huntersville passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023.
She was born in Jamaica, West Indies on October 8, 1956, the daughter of Clifton and Marjorie Farr Campbell. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dalrymple; son, Leonardis Dalrymple; grandmother, Mabel Campbell; and step-brother, Brian Porter.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her stepfather, Harold Porter; daughter, Tanya Sanders (Freddie) of Charlotte, Step-Daughter Nicole Dalrymple-Hall (Tony) of Dallas; grandchildren, Ethan Dalrymple-Hall, Ivana Hall-Mahoney, Paris Sanders, Sydney Sanders; sisters, Janice Campbell, Andrea Hanna; brother, Gregory Campbell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donna enjoyed traveling, modeling, reading, working crossword puzzles, dancing, listening to jazz music and cooking international foods. She also shared her love for cooking through catering events with friends for various events. Prior to the passing of her husband, Donna enjoyed traveling with Richard to Jazz events all over the country.
Her love for quiet time superseded any social event and could always be found at home nestled in the kitchen or in her bedroom with a book or watching a detective show.
