Donna J. (Theising) Dilley, 86, longtime Hendricks County resident, passed away April 21, 2023. Mrs. Dilley was born December 12, 1936, in Indianapolis, to the late Edwin Herman and Margaret Mary (Smith) Theising. She was also preceded in death by her husband Loran E. Dilley.
Mrs. Dilley graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School and worked as a bank teller in downtown Indianapolis through the 1960s. She and Loran moved to Danville, where they bought a farm and lived until the 1980s. Mrs. Dilley was a proud homemaker, a wonderful cook and also enjoyed fishing. She loved to host Thanksgiving for her extended family and delighted in making the holidays special for her loved ones. She was a caregiver to many, but was especially instrumental in the life of her granddaughter, Ashly. Mrs. Dilley will be fondly remembered for her thoughtfulness, generosity, and caring nature.
In addition to her parents and husband Loran, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Dianna Brown and her two sons Danny and Billy.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Ashly (Justin) Lucas and her sister, Marlene Boorham, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 25, 2023, 12 Noon – 2 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
