Donna Gaddy Early

Donna Gaddy Early, age 74, passed onward on Monday, October 28, 2024, after a brief illness.
Donna was born on June 2, 1950, to Ralph Gaddy and Hilda Mae "Dixie" Stamey Gaddy in Asheville, NC. Donna was a graduate of Enka High School. She worked as a small business owner in Canton for many years before joining the administrative staff of the North Carolina University System.
Donna was a loving wife, mother, sister grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished cooking for and spending time with her family and friends. She was a second mother to the friends her sons brought home. Donna had a special love for the Christmas season, often beginning her holiday preparations months in advance. There was nothing she would not do in care of or to help her family.
Donna is survived by her two sons, Gregory Thomas Early and his wife Melody of Canton and Jeffrey Todd Early and his wife Talli of Asheville; siblings, Rodney Gaddy, Sheri Davis, Eric Gaddy, and Jason Gaddy; four grandchildren, Marissa Norris, Zachary Mehaffey, Kastor Early and Simone Early and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2024, in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler, NC.
