Donna G. Edick, 84, of Utica, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Foltsbrook Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Herkimer.
Donna was born in Utica, on May 29, 1940, daughter of the late Carl and Gertrude (Peek) True. Donna was educated in Utica schools and then attended Utica School of Commerce and received an associate degree. Donna was placed on the dean's list with high honors and placed in the "who's who" book which she took great pride in. On September 5, 1970, Donna was united in marriage to Richard C. Edick, a blessed union of 48 years, Richard predeceased Donna on January 3, 2018. For many years Donna was employed by Mohawk Data Sciences (MDS), in the accounting department. After the closing of MDS she went to Savings Bank of Utica (SBU) and then retired with Partners Trust in 2005. Donna enjoyed bus trips and visiting the casinos. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, volunteered at AARP and enjoyed Sunday afternoon country dancing. In her spare time, she also loved working out, walking and being heathy.
Mrs. Edick is survived by her children Donna Lints, Ilion, NY, Timothy Lints, Frankfort, NY, Donald Wood and his wife Corrina, Utica, grandchildren Michael, Sarah, Jesse, Christopher, Timothy, Jr., Jordan, Ashley, Misty, Donald, Jr., Dyllan, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert (Sonny) Lints, brothers Walter, Richard and Charles True.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Donna's funeral service on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 1PM from the Heintz Funeral Services, Inc., 408 Herkimer Road, Utica, with Pastor James Shrader officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 11AM-1PM from the funeral home. She will be laid to rest with her husband Richard in Grand View Cemetery, Whitesboro.
