Donna K. Thomas Evans
69 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on November 19, 2023. Donna was born on December 11, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Dorothy and Henry Thomas. She graduated from Arsenal Tech High School and Indiana State University. She was a member of Zion Tabernacle and Alpha K Alpha Sorority. She retired from the State of Indiana where she served in many capacities in her 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by her brother, Reggie Thomas; sister, Launna Bennett; niece, Tana Lane and her parents. She is survived by her husband, James Evans of 46 years; son, Courtney Reece; daughter, Lashanna Turk; nieces, Carla Cosper, Courtnee Reece, Shenise Reece, Nevaha Reece, Brittney Evans, Jasmine Evans and Yvette Boyd; nephews, Marcus and Eric Bennett, Wendel, Sharron and Morlon Speed and a host of friends and family. Her greatest accomplishment in life was serving God and spending quality time with friends and family. Funeral service will be Friday, December 1, 2023, at 1 pm with visitation from 11 am to 1 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Entombment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
