Donna Celeste Allen Evans 82, of Bossier City Louisiana went to be with her Lord on March 27th, 2024 in Bossier Parish Louisiana. She was born June 19th, 1941 in Start, Louisiana to Charles Homer Allen and Lilah Pearl Allen. Donna lived in Start throughout her childhood and graduated from Start High School, later she moved to and settled in Bossier City with her husband Lovelle.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents Charles Homer Allen and Lilah Pearl Jackson Allen; her sisters Sybil Lorraine Allen, Robie Mims and Ella Faye Roberts; Brothers, Thomas Edward Allen, Bruner Lee Allen, Jack Dempsey Allen, and James Thomas Allen.

Donna is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edward Lovelle Evans; sons, Thomas Edward Evans, wife Patti; Edward Lovelle Evans, Jr., wife Mary; Charles Wayne Evans and wife Marnyce. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Donna married Edward Lovelle Evans on April 4th, 1962 in Monroe Louisiana and they had three sons. Donna was a wonderful, devoted, selfless, caring wife and mother who always found a way to provide for her children even when resources were scarce. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. If asked, any of them could recount being swayed in a rocker to the sound of Mom singing “Little Brown Church in the Wildwood”.

Mom, we love you and we know that one day we will be reunited with you.  You are now in the presence of your heavenly father and as is written in Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away”.

Memorial services will be held Saturday April 13th, 2024 10:30 am at South Bossier Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Zeigler officiating.
