Martha Kimble-Cooper, 77, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away on January 22, 2026, after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her “mother, Ever Dean Kimble; husband, Sam Cooper Sr.; brother, Sammy Lee Burch; granddaughters, Michele Alnora Mitchell and Margaret Rene Dorsey; and son-in-law, Roy Lee Henderson.”
Martha is survived by her daughters, Mary Cooper-Carter (Chris), Jacqueline Cooper-Henderson (Roy), and Deangela Danielle Cooper, and her sons, Sam Cooper Jr. and James Earl Cooper. She was blessed with four precious granddaughters, Jade Natassia Wright, Bryanna Samone Cooper, Jameisha Tinisha Reliford, and Amari Skye Cooper; one handsome grandson, Christopher Trevell Carter; and four amazing great-grandchildren, Mekell, Zahir, Kayden, and Christopher III, along with a host of loving cousins and friends.
She faithfully served as a parishioner at Living Waters Apostolic Church. She had a wide range of interests and hobbies, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends and participating in church activities. Martha was born in Shongaloo, LA, on March 31, 1948. She graduated from Charles H. Brown High School in Springhill, LA, and attended The American Commercial College (ACC) in Shreveport, LA. Martha was a social butterfly who spent her life ministering to her family and friends. Her early years were spent as a seamstress, and her later years were devoted to her children and grandchildren.
Martha was devoted to her faith and will be remembered by many for her impact on their personal journeys. But she will mostly be remembered by her family and friends for her life of kindness and love.
