Donna Lee Evans, 75, of Bangor, formerly of Palmer Township, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, in St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem.
Born April 4, 1950, in Bethlehem, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Weona (Bechtel) Stratton.
She and her husband, Daniel A. Evans, celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on October 16, 2025.
Donna graduated from Pen Argyl High School, Class of 1968. She earned her R.N. at Cedar Crest College and her Nurse Practitioner master's degree at DeSales University.
She was currently employed as a P.R.N. by St. Luke's North, Bethlehem. Previously, she been a nurse educator at St. Luke's Hospital. She had been Head of the Short Procedure Unit at the former Easton Hospital. Prior to that, she was a certified school nurse in the Easton Area School District.
Donna was well known for her knitting creations, which regularly won top honors at the Allentown Fair competitions. She was very involved with the Pocono and Linda Ann's Greyhound Adoption, having recently adopted her fifth Greyhound.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Robert Stratton, of Texas, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Lynn Newsome.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough, is in charge of arrangements. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.

I always admired Donna and all her professional accomplishments. She was the face of our profession to me and someone admired by many. I am saddened to read she is gone.

I worked with Donna at Easton Hospital over summers and breaks from college, back when she was in charge of SPU.
Donna was very kind and a supportive mentor.
