Sisters, Marsha Marie (Helms) Whorton of Eldorado,Ar; Alice Faye (Helms) Thompson of Eldorado,Ar; Charlene (Helms) Adams of Eldorado,Ar; Daughter-in-laws, Sharon (Nash) Gilbert of Haynesville,La; Cindy (Holland) Gilbert of Ellerbe,North Carolina; Great Grandson, Landon Gene Gilbert.
Left to Charish her memory is her husband (Red) Roy Neal Gilbert of Haynesville,La; Sons, Billy Gilbert of Haynesville,La; Tracy Gilbert and wife Amandia of Shongaloo,La; Troy Gilbert of Homer,La; Daughters, Rebecca (Gilbert) Edwards and husband Clifton Edwards of Shongaloo,La; Kaycee (Gilbert) Glass and husband Terry Don Glass of Springhill,La.
Sister, Carolyn (Helms) Bishop and husband Clarence Bishop of Haynesville,La; Brother, Robert Franklin Helms and wife Carol Whorton of Jersey,Ar. Donna is also survived by 37 Grandkids,48 Great Grandkids, 1 Great Great Grandchild and a host of Nieces,nephews,friends and family.
Donna come from a big family.
A big family is what she and Red created together in their almost 60 years of being each others shadow. A family that, through the good times and the bad, has a foundation so strong, that nothing could keep her from doing what she could to help anyone in need. Anyone that knew Donna, knew she wasn't afraid to tell you the truth even if it hurt yout feelings. That's how strong and honest her love was. Donna liked to spend her free time playing bingo,traveling and fishing. All of these things that she loved,she did them with the people that she loved. Her family! You almost never saw her and Red when they didn't have grandchildren with them. She also had a love for anything turtles and frogs as long as they were stuffed or made of stone. Pretty much every room in her house has turtles and frogs in them. Even though our hearts are shattered,she installed in us a family bond strong enough for us to lean on each other,as we try to figure out how to make the broken pieces of our hearts find peace until we can be with her again.
