Arthur Gilbert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors- Milford on Dec. 31, 2025.
Arthur Ludwig Gilbert, age 75, of Fenton, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025.
Arthur was born on June 2, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, to his loving parents, Arthur F. and Betty Gilbert. He was raised in Harper Woods alongside his three brothers, Doug, Bob, and Dick. Art graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School and went on to build a long and dedicated career with Chrysler Automotive, where he worked for over 30 years before retiring.
In his free time, Art enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams-the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Michigan football. In his younger years, he also loved spending time boating. Above all else, however, Art's greatest joy was his family. He treasured every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his children and grandchildren, and his devotion to them was the true center of his life.
Arthur is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Marone-Gilbert; his loving children, Gwen Gilbert, Arthur Gilbert, Ken (Emily) Marone, and Steven (Emilee) Marone; and his cherished grandchildren, Alana Gilbert, Gabrielle LeClear, Phinn Marone, Gus Marone, Ben Marone, and Harper Marone. He was a dear brother to Doug (Fran) Gilbert and Dick (Sharon) Gilbert, and was preceded in death by his brother Bob (Janet) Gilbert. Art is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will take place on Monday, January 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Hodge Cemetery in Hartland.
