Donna S. Grell, 86, of Merrill, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill.

Donna was born April 26, 1939, in Merrill, daughter of Robert and Lydia (Bonke) Koehler. She married Karl Grell on September 6, 1958. He preceded her in death in October of 1996. Donna worked at the former Ravn Clinic/Family Medical Clinic in Merrill for more than 50 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill, and was devoted to the church. Donna’s family was really important to her and she enjoyed all the time spent with them. Donna also enjoyed watching FOX News, polka dancing, and socializing.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela (Peter) Weckwerth of Minocqua; granddaughter, Erika (Thomas) Lorenzen of Minocqua; great grandchildren, Lukas, Trevor, and Cameran; sister, Diana Uttech of Merrill; and several nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Grell; parents, Robert and Lydia Koehler; sister, Lois (Glenn) Brosowsky; brother, Glenn (Florian) Koehler; and brother-in-law, James Uttech.

The funeral service for Donna will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. Entombment will take place in Merrill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the church.
