Donna C. Haefner, age 98, died on January 7, 2026 at Woodstone Senior Living in Hutchinson.
A private family service will be held. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato.
Donna was born on August 5, 1927 to Anthony and Melda (Cashman) Koll. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy. Donna was a telephone operator in Mankato before getting married. She was united in marriage to Harry Haefner on April 15, 1950 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Donna loved shopping and getting her hair done. Her nickname was “Donna Fashion”.
After Harry died, Donna moved with her family to Florence, OR on the Oregon Coast for two years. She then moved to Hutchinson where she has lived the last ten years.
Donna is survived by her children, Lee (Jane) Haefner of Ridgway, CO, Dana (Tracy) of Byron, MN, and Julie Haefner of Hutchinson, MN; grandchildren, Katie (Eduardo), Emily (Kevin), Samuel, Erin, Jessica (Zig), Jennifer, and Jeff; great-grandchild, Cardi; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; son, Jeffrey; sisters, Mary Ann and Antoinette; and brother, Billy.
