Donna Hicks Obituary

Donna Sue Hicks, of Greenwood, passed away February 19th, 2026 surrounded by the love of the family she cherished so deeply. She shared a devoted marriage with her husband Thomas Ward Hicks, a partnership marked by unwavering commitment, laughter, and a lifetime of memories.

Donna's heart was always with her family. She found her greatest joy in gathering everyone together, especially on Sundays and during the holidays, where her cooking became a centerpiece of comfort, tradition, and togetherness. Her home was a place where love was served generously, often alongside a warm meal.

She cared for her yard and flowers with meticulous attention, creating a landscape that reflected her pride, patience, and gentle spirit. Donna also loved taking long walks around downtown Greenwood, finding peace in familiar streets and simple moments. Whether strolling through town or sitting at the table for a game, she brought energy and enthusiasm to everything she did. A fierce competitor, she never turned down a chance to play any game, any time.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Brann, sister, Nancy Harding, brother, Jerry Brann, and son, Bill Hicks.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Ward Hicks, three sons, Mike (Mary) Hicks, Jeff (Beth) Hicks, and John (Tammy) Hicks; her daughter-in-law, Marjie; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love, strength, and family devotion.

Donna's life was defined by kindness, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the people around her. She will be remembered always, missed endlessly, and honored in the stories and traditions she leaves behind.

A Celebration of Donna's life will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, February 26th at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main St. Greenwood with visitation from 12:00pm to service time.
