Donna L. Jackson, age 83, of Bellefontaine, passed away on August 25, 2025, at her home. She was born on August 26, 1941, in Russellville, Ohio, the daughter of William and Tressie Wade. Following graduation from high school, Donna moved to Cincinnati where she was employed by Western & Southern Insurance Company. In 1960, she moved to Washington D.C. and from 1960-1964, she worked as a Secretary in the Lab at the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
In 1960, she met Harold Jackson who was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base. In 1964, Donna and Harold married, and they eventually moved to Bellefontaine, Ohio, where for seventeen years they owned and operated the Jackson Insurance Agency.
Donna is survived by her husband and their children, Michele Everly, Greer, South Carolina, and Tony Jackson and his wife, Molli, Bellefontaine, Ohio. Donna was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren: Ellie Everly Bickle and her husband, Eric, Piedmont, South Carolina, Derek Everly, Greer, South Carolina, Drew Jackson, Bellefontaine, Ohio, Madilyn Jackson, Estero, Florida and Erin Jackson, Eastlake, Ohio, her precious great grandson, Eden Bickle. Donna is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Langford, who passed away on August 16, 2025, and by her brother, William Titus Wade, Jr., who passed away on October 13, 1933.
Donna is remembered by her husband, children and grandchildren in a number of ways: playing cards with their very close friends, John and Carol Stout, playing an endless number of games, including Monopoly, Tripoley, Euchre and Canasta, putting puzzles together, taking golf cart rides, teaching everyone how to garden and can fresh garden vegetables, making holiday fudge and telling stories while cooking, cuddling together watching television, sharing a love of kittens, and recently taking grandsons Derek and Drew to the Rising Star Casino; and many, many weekends hosting grandchildren sleepover-playing games and enjoying the outdoors and each other. She loved her family tremendously.
