Donna L. Jobe, a dedicated educator and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 15, 2025, with her cherished husband, Jack, by her side. Born on November 25, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri to Floyd and Lena Eberhart Galloway, Donna led a life marked by her passion for teaching and art.

Her journey in education began at Fort Osage R-1 in 1967, moving on to Palmer Junior High School—the very place where her own academic journey began in Independence, Missouri. Donna graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1958, demonstrating an early commitment to learning that continued throughout her life. Between 1962 and 1967, she took evening classes at the Kansas City Art Institute, nurturing her love for the arts and ultimately becoming a proud member of the National Art Honor Society since 1958.

In 1979, Donna and Jack relocated to the Kansas City area, where Jack embarked on a new venture, establishing his insurance agency. Donna became his unwavering support, serving as his office manager with the same dedication she had shown in her teaching career. In both settings, she cultivated an atmosphere of encouragement and creativity, a testament to her love for education and the arts.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Donna found joy in a life filled with love and adventure. She had an affinity for animals, and many happy memories were made while traveling in their RV with Jack and their beloved dog. Her spirit was vibrant; she touched the lives of many through her instructional guidance and her warm, caring personality. Students loved her not only for her knowledge and passion but for the genuine interest she took in their lives.

Donna’s legacy is carried on by her devoted husband, Jack Jobe, Sr., her son, Jack Jobe, Jr., her daughter-in-law, Terri Jobe; and her treasured grandchildren: Brayton and Joie Reardon, Jack Jobe, III, George Jobe, Zach Jobe and his wife Tanille, Logan, Nathan, and Eliana. She also leaves behind her son-in-law, Anthony Candillo.

Though Donna faced heartbreak with the sudden passing of her daughter, Christine Candillo, in 2020, her memory remains a source of comfort and love for those she leaves behind.

As we remember Donna, we celebrate a life beautifully lived—a woman whose passions and love for her family, students, and art will forever inspire those fortunate enough to have known her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and the countless students whose lives she touched with her kindness, creativity, and unwavering support.
