Donna Marie (Moore) Keffer, 66, of Staunton, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at Choice Healthcare at Waynesboro.
She was born in Washington, D.C. on January 17, 1956, a daughter of the late Edna and Albert Lewellyn Moore Jr.
A devoted wife and loving mother, Donna was always willing to help and support her children. She was very involved with her family and truly enjoyed organizing and attending family gatherings. An avid bowler, Donna also enjoyed crocheting, dancing, going to the casino and playing the organ and guitar. Donna was “the rock” of the family, never complaining and always ensuring the needs of the family were met. Above all, she adored her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Keffer; daughter, Chrissy Lyn Simmons; and brother, Kenneth Moore.
She is survived by her son, Roger Allen “JR” Simmons and wife, April of Staunton; step-daughter, Katie Ball and husband, Jason of Bowie, MD; brothers, Randy Moore, Roy Moore, Frank Moore and Ron Moore; sister, Peggy Phelps and husband Alan; granddaughter, Autumn Simmons; grandsons, Devyn and Bryce Simmons and Charles and Jacob Ball; great-granddaughter, Elliana Hancock; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Obaugh Funeral Home with pastor Todd Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in McKendree Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Active pallbearers will be Danny Todd, RJ Moore, Daniel Moore, Donald Allen, Brian Allen and Christopher Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Devyn and Bryce Simmons.
