Donna Jean Martinez

Donna Jean Martinez (Mulligan), age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 27, 2025, in Vallejo, California. Born on February 7, 1949, in Modesto, California, Donna was the daughter of Cleo Mulligan (Bowman) and Ted Mulligan. She grew up surrounded by a large and loving family, which remained a central part of her life throughout the years. Donna found joy in the simple pleasures of life-spending time with family and friends brought her the greatest happiness. She had a creative spirit and expressed it through painting and crafting. Her artistic talents were matched by her playful side; she enjoyed the thrill of playing slot machines and cherished every moment of fun they brought. Donna leaves behind two devoted daughters, Bobbie Mawhorter and Rachelle Cashen; three beloved grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Mulligan and Carl Mulligan; one sister, Linda Yodar (Larry); as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply. Her grandchildren held a particularly special place in her heart. Donna's love for Brandon Schmeiser, Jessica Schmeiser, and Megan Mawhorter was boundless, and she took great pride in their lives and accomplishments. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Martinez; her parents; two brothers, Tommy Mulligan and Teddy Jo Mulligan; two sisters, Evelyn Corp (Bowman) and (Jerri) Ethel Malicoat; three sister in laws, Bonnie MullIgan, Paula Mulligan and Betty Mulligan. Donna's warmth, creativity, and love for those around her will be remembered always. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM at The Moose Lodge 337 Nebraska Street, Vallejo CA.
