Donna May McIlwee

Donna May McIlwee, a resident of Fishkill since 1970 and formerly of Walton, NY, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 85.

Daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth (Stedman) Henderson, she was born in Walton on April 20, 1940. She graduated from Walton Central School District High School in 1958 and in 1962 earned a degree in education from Geneva College.

Donna was a dedicated member of Fishkill Baptist Church, where she taught in the church's nursery school program for 13 years.

On August 29, 1970, she married Everett Dewey McIlwee, Jr. in Newburgh, NY. She was predeceased by her husband on July 21, 2021.

Survivors include four sons: Scott McIlwee & his wife Barbara of Wappingers Falls, Christopher McIlwee of Fishkill, Donde McIlwee & his wife Shana of Pleasant Valley, and Daniel McIlwee of East Fishkill; her grandchildren: Brittany, Kathryn, Tristin, Gavin, and Fiona; as well as many other loving family members & friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Donna was also predeceased by her brother, Bill Henderson.

Calling hours will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Saturday, September 27 at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A memorial service will take place at 2pm on Sunday, September 28 at Fishkill Baptist Church, 107 Route 82, Fishkill, NY.
