Donna Irene Meddaugh

Donna Irene Meddaugh, 99, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Donna was born in Sandusky, MI on September 13, 1926 to the late Cecil and Sylvia (Anderson) McWilliams. She graduated from Sandusky High School with the Class of 1945 and would marry Bruce Meddaugh on August 13, 1949 in Sandusky. They were married for 69 years. Donna worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She was confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Juhl, MI in 1949 and was a member of Sandusky Presbyterian Church for many years then attended First Presbyterian Church of Zephyrhills. She was even part of the church's Women's Auxiliary. Donna was a member of several charters such as a Hospital Auxiliary Charter, Sow and Hoe Club Charter and the Danish Sisterhood. Donna was also the Sanilac County Dairy Queen of 1944. She knitted hats and scarves that she gave away to various organizations. Donna spent time playing cards with her family and friends. She loved her family and enjoyed being a snowbird in Florida during the winter.

Donna is survived by her three children, Lona (Glenn) Loding of Sandusky, Eric Meddaugh of Zephyrhills, and Dawn Grabitz of Sandusky; five grandchildren, Nicole (Steve) Wroblewski, Michelle Loding (Dan Eschenburg), Danielle (Jeremy) Korth, Abby (Alex) Meyer and Tyler Grabitz; four great-grandchildren, Olivia Loding, Stevie and Avery Wroblewski and Wyatt Korth.

Donna was preceded in death by husband, Bruce Meddaugh; her parents; her daughter-in-law, Rilla Meddaugh; her sons-in-law, Dave Matusik and Thomas Grabitz; and her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Margaret McWilliams.

A service will be held at a later date.

Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery in Sandusky.
