Donna Marie Meyer, born July 31, 1963, in Rochester, Minnesota, passed away on November 21, 2025, in Rochester at St. Marys Hospital.
She was the beloved daughter of Raymond Meyer and Rosetta Lee Meyer. Donna has two siblings, Dean Meyer and Vicky Meyer, along with many aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends. She was the devoted mother of three children: Chad Allen Christensen, Nathan Ray Carlson, and Joseph Lee Carlson.
Before her cancer diagnosis, Donna worked at Hiawatha Homes taking care of individuals with special needs , Dairy Queen, and Walmart. She took pride in her work and the people she served, always bringing kindness, patience, and a warm smile to those around her.
In 2010, Donna was diagnosed with small cell metastatic lung cancer. She fought bravely through every chapter of her illness—entering remission, facing a recurrence in 2020, returning to remission once again, and remaining stable in recent years. Through every setback and every victory, she never gave up the fight.
Donna enjoyed spending time with her family, friends more than anything her three children. She loved going on family fishing trips, coloring black fuzzy posters, and relaxing at home surrounded by those she loved. She was a caring and loving parent, family member, aunt, and friend.
Donna is survived by her children, Nathan Ray Carlson and Joseph Lee Carlson; her siblings, Dean Meyer and Vicky Meyer; and many aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Meyer and Rosetta Lee Meyer, her oldest son, Chad Allen Christensen, who passed away in 2023. Along with many cousins.
She will be remembered for her laugh, strength, her kindness, and the generosity she shared so freely with the world.
