Donna Jean Oyer, 92, of Chillicothe, passed at 4:13 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born November 1, 1932, in Ashville, Ohio, to the late Chester B. and Hazel O. Clark Turner. On December 28, 1949, she married William D. Oyer who died June 23, 2022.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Roy Malone, of Chillicothe grandchildren, Amy Blair, Kimberly (Blake) Smallridge and Michelle Proehl; great grandchildren, Wade (Jacqueline) Blair, Erika Malone and Abbi Malone; great great grandson, Allen Shepherd; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn A. Proehl; brothers, Robert, Larry, Richard, and Billy Turner; and a sister, Naomi E. (Turner) Smith.

Donna was a member of Hilltop Mission where she taught Bible School and Sunday School at Hilltop Mission for over 25 years. Also, she was instrumental in helping with funeral dinners. Donna enjoyed teaching at Nipgen Youth Camp. She was a 4-H Advisor for her Ross County 4-H Club, The Country Lassies, for over 14 years. Over the years, she helped many girls with sewing and cooking projects. Donna was always there to lend a hand to family, friends and neighbors. Many remember her magnets and cards sent for any need they had. We want to extend a special "thank you" to the staff of National Church Residences Hospice and nieces, Wanda, Karen and Linda for their assistance and care during her time of need. The cards that were sent were greatly appreciated.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Bob Jividen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday.
