Donna Sue Piatt August 3, 1950 – October 20, 2025 Donna Sue Piatt, 75, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on August 3, 1950, Donna was known for her kind heart, nurturing spirit, and deep devotion to her family. She spent her career in nursing. First in a clinical setting, where she cared directly for patients, and later in administrative nursing, where she continued to advocate for quality care and support for others.
Donna found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She loved gardening and always looked forward to the beginning of fall, when she could brighten her front porch with fresh mums. Each morning, she thoroughly enjoyed reading the newspaper with a fresh cup of coffee. A lifelong animal lover, stray animals were never stray for long as she was always opening up her home to welcome them in. One of her favorite activities was visiting the zoo with her children and grandchildren, moments she cherished deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laverne G. Yaeger and James F. Yaeger; her brother, James F. Yaeger, Jr.; and William David Piatt, II, the father of her children.
Donna is survived by her sister, Regina Finney; her son, William David Piatt, III; and her daughters, Erin (Jeff) Henriques and Jamie Piatt. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Kelsi (Alex) Marshall, Nathan Henriques, Hailey Williams, Layne Williams, Jordan Piatt, and Katlyn Piatt.
Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on in each of them.
A celebration of Donna's life will be held on November 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Erin and Jeff Henriques at 10400 Fawn Trail Rd, Mustang OK 73064. All who knew and loved Donna are welcome to join in honoring her memory.
