Donna Marie Pingel, age 67, of Greenville, Wisconsin, passed away surrounded by her loving husband and kids on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Donna was born in New London, Wisconsin on March 2, 1956, to the late Lee and Julia (Calnin) Fischer. On October 14, 1978, she married Kirk Pingel and together they brought two lovely daughters and one son into this world.
Donna worked in the Hortonville School District for 10 years as a substitute coordinator. In her free time, she liked cleaning, organizing and camping, but above all, she loved spending time with her family. Family was her number one priority, and that was obvious to everyone that knew her.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Kirk; her children, Jenny (Ryan) Wolfrath, Stevie (Michelle) Pingel, Gina (Andy) Griesbach; her grandchildren, Tenley, Harper, Nash, Bentley, Parker, Clover, Cambri, Shilo, Marlo, and Chapel; siblings, Bill Fischer, Dave (Holly) Fischer, Jeanne (Lee) Riehl, Judy (Wayne) Huettl, and Gerri Foley. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews; friends, Susie, Cathy, Vicky, Bev, Sue, Barb, Lisa, Joann, Jean, Pat, and special lifelong friend, Joan.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Julia; her brother, Stevie; sister in-law, Bev Fischer; brother in-law, Tom Foley, and Armon Wendt.
The family would like to thank Dr. Burkett, Nurse Gairta, Dr. Kindler, Buerkley, Dr. Fernando, Dr. Marquis and Dr. Koffie and Hillary at ThedaCare Cancer Center, along with Jennifer at ThedaCare Hospice.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Donna will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 28, 2023 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville, with Fr. Phil Schoofs officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mom was the kindest, most patient human being one could ever know. Through all the hard times and suffering, she never once complained, nor did her faith waiver. She was so loved by everyone who knew her. Her and dad's marriage was beyond admirable- it was perfect! We will all miss her so much, but are so happy she is watching from above and whole again. Love you to the moon and back! Until we see you in eternity.
