Donna Carol Reinhart, 87-year-old resident of Hillcrest Senior Living in Red Lake Falls, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 22, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston, MN with Pastor Jeffery Lytle officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service and Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 4-7 PM. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston at a later date.
Donna was born on October 11, 1934 to Fred and Violet (Berg) Freeberg in Crookston, MN. She attended Crookston Central High School and after graduation she earned her CNA Certification. She was united in marriage to Gerald Reinhart on September 3, 1964 in Crookston and was a proud farmer’s wife and mom. Donna worked as a CNA and resident bus driver at Villa St. Vincent and did some babysitting. She was a member of the VFW. Donna never swore and was a kind-hearted woman. She loved to square dance, play cards, going to movies, volleyball, grilling, and Sunday softball games with the family. Donna will be remembered for her homemade bread, doughnuts, fudge; and spending all the time she could with her family.
Donna is survived by her children, David Aure of Crookston, MN, Gary (Ardel) Aure of Crookston, MN, Patty (Jason) Benbo of Fertile, MN, Hope (Vernice) Aure of Portsmouth, NH, Scott (Angie) Reinhart of Grand Forks, MN, Cherie (Curt) Chaska of Red Wing, MN; grandchildren, Jayme (Jen), Tandra (Fred), Jason, Ashlee, Josh, Jordan, Courtney, Austin, Jamie, Jayden, Jerry, Bryan, Kevin; great-grandchildren, MaKenna, Morgan, Zack, Kelsey, Freddy, Hunter, Claudia, Ella, A.J., Ezra, Alyssa, Morgan, Tristan, Dresden; niece, Vickie (Joel) Westra; and nephew, Paul (Rae Anne) Reinhart.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Barbara (Juel) Reinhart; nephew, Myles Reinhart; and great-niece, Elizabeth Yerdon.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
Arrangements are with the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston.
