Services for Donna F. Rohde, age 77, of rural Boyden who passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church in rural Boyden with Pastor Jeremy Winter, officiating.
Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in rural Boyden.
Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church in rural Boyden.
Arrangements are under the care of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Boyden.

Donna Faye Rohde, the daughter of Walter and Elsie (Hensch) Kruse was born on June 21, 1948, in Sibley, Iowa. She graduated from George High School in 1966. Before her marriage she worked at the Coop Produce in Boyden. On April 25, 1968, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Rohde at St. John Lutheran Church near Boyden. After their marriage they farmed near Boyden where Donna raised their four children, Dewain, Faye, Douglas and Linda. Donna passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at their residence reaching the age of 77 years, 4 months, and 25 days.
Donna was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Boyden where she was involved in Dorcas, teaching Bible school and Sunday school. She enjoyed being in card club, quilting, crocheting, knitting, and gardening. She especially enjoyed her time with her family. Donna was known to have a contagious laugh and always had a smile on her face.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Kenneth; children, Dewain Rohde of Boyden, Faye and her husband Dean Lerdal of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Douglas Rohde of Boyden, and Linda Rohde of Harrisburg, South Dakota; siblings, Leland (Noreen) Kruse of George, Iowa, Phyllis (Odean) DeJong of Hull, Iowa, Eunice (Maynard) DeBoer of Archer, Iowa, Jolene (Paul) Peterson of Hawaii; sister-in-law, Diane Kruse of South Carolina and brother-in-law, Leon Korthals of Sanborn, Iowa; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Carol Korthals and Yvonne Leonard and brother, Marlin Kruse.
