Donna Rust Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 27, 2024 at Malvik Lutheran Church 27689 474th St., Laporte, MN 56461. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Cease Family Funeral Home 2807 Irvine Ave. NW, Bemidji, MN. Interment will be at Malvik Lutheran Cemetery. A luncheon to follow in the church.
Donna was born November 17, 1959 in Bemidji, MN, the daughter of Theodore and Jean (Hilliard) Rust. She graduated from Northome High School in 1978. She attended Northwest Technical College and obtained an Associate degree in 1980. Donna worked for the Bemidji School District for 33 years until her retirement in 2022 to take care of her father Ted Rust. Donna enjoyed making crafts and jewelry, reading books, watching movies, and collecting Coca Cola memorabilia. She liked going to hockey games and stock car races, as well as flea markets and garage sales. She loved going to the cabin and fishing at Dark Lake. She also loved getting together with family and playing cards and going to the casino from time to time.
She is survived by her nieces, Sherry Rust, Melissa Cropp, Jenni Eull, Jamie Boos and Ash Boos, nephews, Daniel (D.J.) Rust, Jr., Dakota Ferdig, Marshall Boos and Bryce Boos, many great nieces, nephews and cousins, aunts, Ruth Schlinsog, Ina Everly, Joni (Joe) Hilliard, and Cindy Hilliard, uncles, Roger, Rod (James), Richard and Ken Hilliard.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Theodore Rust and Jean (Hilliard) Rust, brother, Daniel Rust, grandparents, Cecelia (Emerson) Hilliard and Orville Hilliard, Abigail (Johnson) Rust and Ernest Rust, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
