DONNA R. SCHUCHERT
Donna R. Schuchert passed away peacefully at her home on November 2, 2023. She was 88 years old. Born in Canton, Ohio on September 27, 1935, she was the daughter of Donald and Ruth (Kent) Daniels, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death in 2010, by her husband, Philip G. Schuchert.
Donna was a devoted, gracious, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A member of the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist, her life was built on faith and family. In the world beyond the home, she was respected for being smart, hardworking, and committed, always rising to leadership in her varied professional and community positions. Donna was always willing to help others whenever a need arose. Her balance of pragmatism and compassion attracted family, friends, and colleagues to seek her wisdom and counsel as she inspired with her kindness, grace, and love.
She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Schuchert, Nancy (James) Stansloski, Beth (Richard) Aldrich; sons, Philip Schuchert (Fernando Alvarez), Mark (Renee) Schuchert, Michael Schuchert; grandchildren, Abby (Scott) Shelley, Daniel (Meghan) Stansloski, Joel (Renine) Stansloski, Rachel (Jon) Urban, Kelly (Brennan Billow) Aldrich, Paige (Jarom) Abel, Brigitta (Nathan Hansen) Schuchert, Andres, Maayan, and Jasmine Schuchert; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Sr. Margaret Daniels, HM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, 10:00 AM, Basilica of Saint John the Baptist, Canton, with the Very Reverend Dr. David M. Misbrener, D. Min., as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Massillon.
The family wants to express sincere gratitude for the gentle kindness of the many caregivers who supported Donna through her passing.
Memorial Gifts may be made in Donna's name to the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist. Arrangements have been entrusted with Lamiell Funeral home, where prayers, fond memories, and condolences may be shared at: lamiellfuneralhome.com.
