Stephen J. Schuchert, 65, of Pittsburgh, died Dec. 30, 2024. He was born on Aug. 3, 1959, to Thomas Schuchert and Sandra Schuchert (Davenport) in Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Thomas Schuchert Jr.He attended Portsmouth Abbey and then graduated with a BS in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University. He began his career at Kennametal in Latrobe, PA, where he was a passionate advocate for IT and business transformation for 26 years. He was a man of strong convictions, a steady presence, and a great provider, demonstrating his love through the sacrifices he made to ensure his family never went without. Stephen is survived by his wife, Carolyn Schuchert (Malivuk); daughter, Heather; his oldest son, Stephen Jr.; his wife, Alona, and their daughter, Amelia; and sons, John and Christopher. We ask that, in lieu of flowers, you take a moment to listen to Pink Floyd, throw on your favorite Steelers gear, or take a quiet moment at the beach to remember a man who taught us the value of strength and honesty.
