Donna Pruitt Sexton, 65, of Roebuck, SC passed into the loving arms of Jesus on April 5, 2025. She was born in Spartanburg, SC on February 17, 1960 to Jackie Hodges Pruitt and the late Donald Pruitt.
She spoke of her childhood often and how she cherished and loved her precious parents and siblings dearly. She married the love of her life, the late Taylor Sexton, on April 9, 1977 and they raised three children together. Her children were the joy of her life, and they all feel blessed to have had a mother who sacrificed so much for them with unconditional love. She is known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Granny Donna and Nanny Donna. They were all precious to her and brought her so much joy. She always said that her greatest accomplishment in life was the life that she built with her husband and the big family they started together. She will be remembered as a strong woman and will be missed by all who love her.
Donna is survived by her children, Tory Dowling (Mark), Jammy S. Sexton, and Robbie Sexton (Samantha); grandchildren, Justin Dowling, Austin Dowling (Carly), Caleb Sexton, Kayli Sexton, Morgan Sexton, Alyssa Dowling, Zach Sexton, Emily Sexton, Kenzie Sexton, and Colton Sexton; great-grandchildren, Tobias Chandler and Harrison Bennett; mother, Jackie Pruitt; and siblings, Teresa Melton (Frankie), Kathy Bailey (Bill), Sheila Bailey (Tommy), Donnie Pruitt, and Kim Pruitt.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Pruitt; husband, Taylor Sexton; grandson, David Connor Sexton; and brother, Brian Pruitt.
Visitation will be 12:00-12:45 pm Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3000 Stone Station Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm, conducted by Rev. Frankie Taylor. Interment in Springhill Memorial Gardens, 1011 S Alabama Ave, Chesnee, SC 29323, will immediately follow.
