Donna Lee Beechy Slevin, 78, of Miltonsburg, Ohio, passed away at Wheeling Hospital on March 7, 2025. She was born on February 17, 1947 in Akron, Ohio to the late Paul Hartzer and Mabel Helen (Powers) Beechy.
Donna was proud to retire as a Truck Driver. She was Christian by faith and a member of the Batesville Methodist Church. She was a member of the Guardian Angels and the Senior Center in Woodsfield. She enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows. She liked to crochet and play dominos and Bunco. She enjoyed dancing, reading, and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Roger Johnson; sons-in-law, David McCleary, William Simmons; and former spouse and friend, Maynard Johnson.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Tamelia "Tammy" Simmons of Martins Ferry, Melissa (Rob) McCleary of White House, TN; grandchildren, Chelce (James), Amber, Joshua (Lilly), Miranda, Antonia, Latasha, Savion, 17 great-grandchildren, and special friend who was like a daughter, Rosa Kahrig Johnson.
The visitation will be on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 4pm to 8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio 43719. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the funeral home at 11am with Paster Tom Detling presiding. A private burial in Jerusalem will follow.
