Donna Surman

Donna Surman of Toms River and Naples, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Community Medical Center in Toms River at the age of 64 years old.
Born in Newark and lived in Irvington and Edison before moving to the shore area in 1990. She graduated Irvington High School and Douglas College. Donna worked in New York City on Wall Street and later in banking and senior living in NJ.
She is predeceased by her mother Ruth Lopedota and step father Hank Lopedota. Surviving are her husband Gregory; children Gregory, Melissa Santorelli and her husband Paul, Mary Jukas and her husband Bob, Heather Fogel and her husband Charlie; grandchildren Shealyn, Paul, and Rory; and her lifelong friend who was like a sister, Barbara Wolf.
Donna was active in numerous charities, was an animal lover who enjoyed her trips to AC, especially dinner at Chef Vola's. She worked hard to overcome many challenges in her life and her loving presence will be missed by many.
Visiting will be Sunday, January 23 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. Funeral services will be Monday 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Arrive at the funeral home 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow to St. Joseph's Cemetery.
