Donna Szeremeta, age 77, of New London, died on Wednesday, November 27, at Cura of Willmar. Services will be held at a later date.
Donna was born on November 6, 1947, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Joseph and Odelia (Maslonkowski) Jurek. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and Harding High School in St. Paul. On November 11, 1967, she married Robert "Bob" Szeremeta, and together they built a beautiful life. www.hafh.org.
Donna and Bob lived in St. Paul until 1995 before relocating to Hudson Oaks, Texas, where they resided until 2003. They then moved to New London, Minnesota. Donna worked various retail jobs during her time in Minnesota and Texas, where she developed many lasting friendships.
Donna will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She cherished time with her family and always put their happiness first.
Donna is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob; her son, Jim (Deb) Szeremeta of New London; and her grandson, Bret, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota. She is also survived by her siblings: Dennis Jurek of Lindstrom, Minnesota; Luella (Roger) Blakstad of St. Paul, Minnesota; Joyce King of Carson City, Nevada; Marlys Harrles of St. Paul, Minnesota; Ernest Jurek of Tacoma, Washington; and Lois (Gerald) Husnick of Pine City, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph, and Odelia; two brothers; and one sister.
Donna's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
