Donna Marie (Prenger) VanLoo, age 88, of Jefferson City, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Stonebridge Senior Living (Westphalia).

She was born on July 29, 1937, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late August and Matilda (Herigon) Prenger. Donna was united in marriage to her husband, John J. VanLoo, who preceded her in death.

Donna worked for many years with Gerbes and Adkins Cleaning, later retiring from Briar Oaks after ten years of service. She was known for her strong work ethic, warm personality, and the quiet kindness she shared with everyone around her.

Donna enjoyed a variety of hobbies throughout her life, especially NASCAR, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals, and following college basketball. She also loved spending time outdoors in her garden, nurturing the flowers and plants that brought her so much joy.

Donna is survived by her children, Tom VanLoo (Jana) of Wardsville and Kenneth VanLoo of Wardsville; her grandchildren, Daniel VanLoo, Gwen VanLoo, Lance VanLoo and Paige (VanLoo) Anderson; and her great grandchildren, Lakelyn and Emery Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her grandson, Jason VanLoo; her brother, Bernard Prenger; and her sisters, Alicia Wieberg, Evelyn Weber, and Rosella Wilbers.

Friends and family will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Father Medina officiating. Entombment will be held at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Wardsville.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Jefferson City Humane Society.
