Donna Marie Wells, age 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025. Born on May 10, 1959, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of the late Albert Lee and Bessie Marie Whitworth Durham.
A graduate of Shelby County High School, Donna spent much of her life in Lawrenceburg before returning to Shelbyville to care for her mother in her final years. Known for her creativity and compassion, Donna had a passion for flower arranging and devoted her life to caregiving. She was a faithful member of Shelbyville First Christian Church.
Donna's memory will be forever cherished by her loving daughters, Diana Hicks (Carl) and Crystal Foley; her grandchildren, Angel Hulker (Sam), Blake Foley, Khristian Foley, and Gabriel Hicks; and her great-grandchildren, Eli Ortega, Forrest Ortega, and Paizlee Ortega. She is also survived by her siblings: sisters Connie Brown, Debbie Tolson, and Nancy Durham; and brothers Roy Durham, Terry Durham, and Donnie Durham.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her late husband, Ronnie Wells; and a brother, Robert Durham.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Shelbyville First Christian Church, 60 Disciples Way, Shelbyville, KY 40065. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., with burial afterward at Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Rev. Tracy Parker will be officiating the service.
Pallbearers will be Blake Foley, Khristian Foley, Donnie Durham, Chris Wethington, Sam Ortega, and Terry Durham.
Saffell House Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
