Donna Wert

Donna Wert, 72, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025. Donna was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on April 10th, 1951 to John and Phyllis (Ulrich) Spohn. She spent 20 loving years married to her husband, Richard Eugene Wert, and was together with him for a total of 30 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Spohn. Donna is survived by her loving husband, Richard; Daughter, Cari Ann (Michael) Miller; and many grandchildren.
Donna spent her whole career with Blue Shield/ Blue cross insurance company as an insurance agent. Outside of work, she liked to live a simple life. She loved to be outdoors, whether it was fishing, landscaping, gardening, planting flowers, or even taking her dogs, Kassi and Jackson, for walks down front street and the park. She also would visit tractor shows with her husband.
Donna cared about animals very much, always donating food and supplies to the local humane societies in any way she could. In Lieu of flowers, the family would love if contributions could be made to any humane society group or animal rescue organizations.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 17th, 2025 at Neumyer Funeral home (1334 North 2nd street Harrisburg, PA 17102) from 1 PM to 3:00 PM.
