Donna West

West, Donna – of Clio, age 79, passed away Thursday March 5, 2026, at her home. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. No services at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to New Covenant Church in honor of Donna.

Donna was born October 19, 1946, in Flint, Michigan to the late George and Minnie (Norlin) Hetzer. Donna married Steven West on July 25, 1969. As a dedicated homemaker, she nurtured her family and fostered a welcoming atmosphere for anyone in need. Donna was known for her generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand, offer a listening ear, or provide a warm meal to those who crossed her path. Most recently, Donna found community and purpose at New Covenant Church, but she also found fellowship at Bethany United Methodist Church, where she attended Bible study. Donna's strong faith was evident in all aspects of her life. In her downtime, Donna enjoyed crafts and sewing, but also loved thrift shopping, often finding hidden treasures at local rummage sales. Her baking skills were unmatched, especially when it came to making treats for her grandchildren. She cherished the love and laughter spent around the dining table so she created a "family dinner night" to which all were welcome. Each week the table and rooms of her home were filled with family and friends who enjoyed what her grandchildren lovingly called "Grandma food". We are comforted knowing she has joined our Lord and savior in Heaven.

Surviving are: Daughters: Kristi (Dan) Lee, Kerri (Mike) Walther and Laura (Ryan) Caldwell: Grandchildren: Daniel, John, Kortnie (Dylan), Joshua, Mike Jr (Jessica), Wyatt (Keyara), Lane, Molly, Christopher, Emily; Great grandchildren: Waylon, Kiala, Daniel, Kaison, Karlee, Khloe, Zoey and Karsyn: Brothers: Fred Hetzer and George Hetzer: Sister-In-Laws: Yvonne Hetzer and Gaye Hewitt; Many beloved nieces and nephews: Several lifelong friends. She is preceded by her husband, Steven West Sr; Children: Steven "Jeff" West Jr and Sara Olsen; Granddaughter, Kerrie Michelle Lee; Brothers: Danny "Sonny" Hetzer and Terry Hetzer.
