Donna M. White
Donna M. White of Ewing passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at home after an extended illness. Born in Dover, New Jersey, Donna was 70 years old.
Educated at the College of New Jersey, Donna planned to teach physical education; however her employment journey took her on a different path. Donna was employed by the State of New Jersey, Division of Law as a Fiscal Agent for more than 40 years and always took a lot of pride in the various positions she held during her career. Donna enjoyed mentoring her staff and always provided them with encouragement and support.
Some of Donna's fondest times were spent with Joann and their many friends and neighbors either at home or at the Jersey shore. There were frequent Friday night deck parties and holiday feasts prepared by Joann where they enjoyed the company of good friends as well as Sammy, their furry baby.
Donna enjoyed playing softball in her younger days which later was replaced by playing golf. A huge Dallas Cowboys fan, Donna never missed watching them play and also enjoyed watching golf, particularly when Tiger Woods was in contention. Donna also enjoyed gardening and various DIY projects. Donna also helped organize and run the MJY golf tournament for 15 years.
Donna used her incredible organizational skills by volunteering her time in the community. In recent years Donna was instrumental in overseeing the Turtle Creek Peacemakers Quilts of Valor group and handled most of the non-sewing aspects of presenting veterans with healing Quilts of Valor. This involved scheduling presentations with the veterans' families, selecting the quilts that the veteran would receive and preparing the paperwork associated with the presentation. This group has made and presented more than 450 quilts since the group was established and the success of this group is due in large part to Donna's efforts and diligence.
Donna was predeceased by her parents Don and Anna White. Donna will be missed by her wife Joann Tarateta and their countless friends. Quiet by nature, Donna was never shy about speaking her mind and sharing thoughts on various current events. One of her favorite sayings is "God doesn't like ugly" so we should all keep that thought in mind to honor Donna. While she may be gone from our sight Donna's memory will live on in those who were lucky enough to know her and call her a friend.
Memorial contributions may be made in Donna's name payable to Quilts of Valor. In the comment section please include "Peacemakers Group Number 53390". They can be mailed to Debbi Oriolo, 17 Saratoga Drive, Princeton Junction, NJ 08550.
Funeral services are Friday, April 11, at 1:30 pm at Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ. Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Friday from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at Ewing Cemetery. OrlandsMemorialChapel.com/Donna-White

I am so sorry to hear of Donna´s passing. Donna assisted me all the time at work. It was never in her job description but help she did and she did this for so many of us! Always volunteering. I will cherish the memories we shared from our times at Division Of Law and hold them close. I pray her family and friends find comfort in knowing she is at peace. Terrie Hunt
