Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home on Mar. 5, 2026.
Donna Jean White, 83, Topeka, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Donna was born in Topeka on June 4, 1942, the daughter of Clyde and Thelma McMullen Heston. She graduated from Seaman High School in 1960 and attended Washburn University. Donna married Dennis "Denny" White on August 6, 1960, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Topeka. She worked at Dillons, R.A. Fulmer Company, Bauersfeld's Grocery, Grace Cathedral and the Courthouse. Of all the jobs she held, her favorite titles were Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma. Donna was a sports nut. She loved softball in particular, coaching her daughters and attending a staggering number of games for several family members. Donna enjoyed genealogy, collecting unique rocks, painting, and making wonderful sand and snow sculptures.

Donna is survived by her husband, Denny; daughters, Denise White, Dena Shaw, Danielle White and Lyni Hohner (Justin); granddaughters, Haley Pate and Hiré Taylor; great-grandchildren, Hezekiah Pate and Ava White; brother, Dr. Tim Heston (Debbie); and sister-in-law, Sherry Heston. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donje White; parents; brother, Ron Heston; sister, Marlene Meek; and her beloved pup, Zeb, who went everywhere with her.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the funeral home.
