Michelle Wilson, 38, of Topeka, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on the morning of March 2, 2026, after a two-year battle with breast cancer. She spent the last weeks of her life sharing the gospel with anyone she talked to, inviting them to share in the Kingdom of Heaven.
She was born on January 12th, 1988, in Topeka, Kansas to Lee and Sherry Holmes. Michelle had a Bachelors of Art from Washburn University, where she met her husband, Jared.
She was an incredible artist, and her work will inspire people for years to come. Michelle married Jared Wilson in 2013. She is survived by her husband, Jared and her two children Alma (7) and Everett (4). Other survivors include her mother, Sherry Holmes; grandmother, Ruthy Sherrer; siblings, Stefanie (Jay) Lunceford and Nathan (Miranda) Holmes; niece, Kylee Lunceford; and nephew, Ridley Holmes.
She was preceded in death by her father.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the children’s education fund.
Her family visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at Seaman Community Church. Memorial services will be held beginning at 10:00 am on Wednesday morning, March 11, 2026, at Seaman Community Church with graveside inurnment following in Rochester Cemetery.
