Obituary of Donna M. Wojcik
Mrs. Donna M. Wojcik, 78, of Schuyler, NY, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford with loving family by her side.
Donna was born in Utica, on December 30, 1944, the daughter of Peter and Mabel (Allen) Briggs. She was raised and educated in Remsen, NY and was a graduate of Remsen Central High School. For many years, Donna was employed as a home health aide with US Care Systems. On May 19, 1990, Donna was united in marriage with her best friend, Paul Wojcik. Donna and Paul enjoyed spending time with friends and volunteering at the American Legion Utica Post 229 and at various local Senior Centers. Donna was a member of American Legion Utica Post 229 Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hatters Society. She enjoyed her family and friends, taking care of her cats and doing all types of crafts.
Mrs. Wojcik is survived by her loving husband, Paul; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Michelle and Anthony Sanito of Ithaca, NY, Deborah and Gordon Medeiros of Chanhassen, MN and Bonnie Robins of Frankfort, NY; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Reggie Broadbent of Remsen, NY, Randy and Linda Broadbent of New Jersey, Mike Bulger of Marcy, NY and Stephen Bulger of Schuyler, NY as well as numerous cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Mabel.
Visitation for family and friends is Monday, May 8, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the conclusion of the visitation. She will be laid to rest in St. Agnes Cemetery in Utica, on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.. Those wishing to make a donation in Donna's memory, please consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
