Donnetta Kay Swartwood, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, in Rockport, Arkansas. Born on June 2, 1965, in Enid, Oklahoma, Donnetta was known for her kind and welcoming nature, always striving to make those around her feel at ease. Her great overall personality and sense of humor left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Donnetta is survived by her devoted husband of 15 years, Santiago Romero. She leaves behind a loving family that includes her mother, Frances Rush, and her cherished children: Tara, Frankie, Whitney, Richard, and Casandra. In addition to her children, she will be deeply missed by her siblings: Juletta, Lonnie, Allen, Matt, Crissy, Larry, and Jay. The joy of her life also extended to her grandchildren: Alexia, Devan, Landen, Kegan, Kennedy, Kaylee, Hunter, Vincent, Anya, Skylar, Jeremy, Amara, Monica, Josie, and Silas who will carry her memory forward.
Donnetta was preceded in death by her father, Larry Rush.
As we remember Donnetta Kay Swartwood, we celebrate the warmth she brought to our lives and the love she radiated to all who knew her. She will be forever missed but always remembered with fondness and admiration.
