Donnie Atcher Obituary
He always put God and his family first. Donnie always was available to lend a hand to someone who needed help. He retired from Metalsa.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fern and Donovan K. Atcher Sr.; maternal grandparents, Martin and Louise Ray; and father-in-law, Stanley HY Hornback.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sue Hornback Atcher; his two sons, Trevor (Adonna) and Ethan Atcher, all of Upton; his parents, Don K. and Margie Ray Atcher of Elizabethtown; his mother-in-law, Mary Kay Wood Hornback; his three siblings, Debbie (Brian) Miller of Louisville and Troy (Elizabeth) Atcher and Amy Atcher, all of Elizabethtown; as well as two grandchildren, Adaline and Emma Decker.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at Upton Baptist Church in Upton with the Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial follows in Brackett Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton.

Donnie was one of the best bosses I've had, not only a boss but a friend too. He would help you in any way he could, from coming over to my house to get my tractor started to praying for my family. I always enjoyed our talks, and he was the same way with everyone he was in contact with. Very hard worker too, if the weather was bad he would be in his shop working. He will be missed by many.
