Linda Gail Atcher, 72, passed away peacefully at her home in Port St. John, Florida, on May 5, 2025. Born on September 21, 1952, in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, Linda lived a life marked by dedication-to her family, her community, and her country. Linda spent part of her career working in logistics at Kennedy Space Center, where she supported the nation's space program with pride and precision. After her time there, she continued her commitment to public service as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service. Known for her strong work ethic and kind heart, she formed lasting bonds with coworkers and the residents along her routes. Outside of work, Linda found joy in creativity and community. She was an accomplished seamstress who loved sewing clothes, blankets, and meaningful gifts for her loved ones. She also enjoyed playing pool and riding motorcycles alongside friends and family. Linda was deeply involved in community service. She was a devoted member of several organizations including the American Legion Auxiliary, American Legion Riders, VFW Auxiliary, AMVETS Auxiliary, and Women of the Moose. She also served as a Guardian ad Litem, giving children a voice and advocating for their best interests during difficult legal proceedings. Her dedication to service touched countless lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Janet Miller; her husband, Ed Atcher; her daughters, Lori Irvin and Jodi Conn; and her granddaughter, Samantha Jo Coyle. Linda is survived by her daughter, Lisa Wiley (Jason); her son, Jake Atcher (Shenea); her son-in-law, Michael Irvin; her cherished grandchildren: Josh Clark (Heather), Michael Irvin (Summer), Megan van Vugt (Cody), Justin Coyle (Lauren), Lauren Bitton (Taylor), Jacob Atcher Jr., Mackenzie Atcher, Bethany Atcher, and Camdyn Atcher; and her siblings, Barbara Stutzman (Michael), Roger Miller (Barbara), Diane Jones (Daniel), and Dorothy Hixson. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren who brought her immense pride and joy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Francis Hospice in Titusville www.reflectionslsc.org/ or the Down Syndrome Association of Brevard https://dsabrevard.org/, two causes close to Linda's heart.
